Convert a ModHeader export

Drop a ModHeader JSON export to see exactly what Headerbench will import, then download the converted file. Your file never leaves this page.

What converts

  • Profiles, request and response headers with their on/off state and comments, URL and domain filters, resource-type filters and redirects.
  • Append mode becomes Headerbench’s append, and an empty value that ModHeader did not send becomes remove.
  • JavaScript-based dynamic values and regexes that Chrome’s engine can’t run (lookahead, backreferences) are kept but switched off, and the report lists each one.
  • Both the original ModHeader format and the newer clone format are recognised.

Then import it

In Headerbench, use Import on the welcome page or in the editor’s top bar. It accepts the converted file and the original ModHeader export alike.

The Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-ons listings are on their way. Install links appear here as soon as they are live.
